I want to go to New York for a long weekend. Can you recommend a way to find a cheap flight and a few cool things to do while we are there?
I'm actually more than happy to put together a mini guide to New York City because it is one of my favorite cities in the world. New York stole my heart and I am desperate to return. So here's a guide to Dominicus Sutrisno and anyone who wants to visit New York for a 4-day trip-I highly recommend because it is awesome!

Booking your flight
If you are a fellow Brit, New York may seem like a long way to go for a weekend trip but it is easily do-able. There are so many flights to New York and their meaning often in good time so that you can minimize the amount of time you took time off.
You already know I love Bravofly for finding cheap flights when you have flexible dates. There are several cheap flights to New York are here and you can also use the option ' find a deal '. Select up to 5 different Moon you are available to travel and the number of days you want to go (or weekend flight option) and it will come up with the best deals.
I would recommend seeking direct flights-the difference in price was not worth a stopover-and I also will be flying home overnight. This gives you a whole extra day in New York. The last time I did this I went straight to work after the flight so I got over jetlag more quickly.

Hotel booking
Last time I was in New York I stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Midtown Manhattan. Location-Wise it is perfect as it is connected to Grand Central Terminal (it doesn't get much more important than this). The room is simple, modern and quite stylish, but the whole experience was bland and I wouldn't recommend forking issued for this hotel.
Transportation in New York is so good that I really wouldn't worry too much about your location.
Super cool options-Dream Hotel
There's one in midtown and one in the center of the city and several other locations soon.
Budget boutique – Re-opened
I am a big fan of CitizenM Hotel. They're the kind of place you'll want to stay when you are in the transition between the Hostel and the Boutique Hotel. For example. Would you like to stay at the boutique hotel but not quite afford it! (That's me!)
Options-Jane Hotel
This is a budget hotel with a hipster vibe and interesting history as it once protected from the Titanic survivors. If you're on a very tight budget, you can opt for a private room but shared bath.
Hostel-The Guardian has a great selection of hostels in New York that is definitely worth checking out.

What to do every day
I will divide each day into an area in New York; Uptown, Midtown, downtown and Brooklyn.
If it is your first time in New York you'll want to spend most of your time in and around Manhattan as this is where the main attractions and all the famous people you've seen in movies.
Uptown Manhattan
Uptown Manhattan is where you will find the Central Park and the ' Museum Mile '.
Spend your day in Uptown Manhattan back and forth between the Museum and relax in the garden. Consider renting a bike while you're in Central Park. This is huge and will help you see as much as possible.
Metropolitan Museum of Art
The Guggenheim Museum (my favorite)
Cooper Hewitt National Design
Whitney Museum of American Art
The American Museum Of Natural History
Cloisters
A snowy Park in New York
Midtown Manhattan
While you're in midtown Manhattan you will see some of the most famous Landmarks in the city
Grand Central Terminal
New York Public Library
Rockerfeller Center
St Patrick's Cathedral
Empire State building-the goal to go at sunset
Times Square-Best after dark
Grand Central Terminal New York
