So much love the idea of an adventure but not half of us really know how to have one.
For me, it will mean adventure begins with an idea of where you want to go or what you want to achieve, but it's completely open to the things that are wrong in the knowledge that really, it's the unexpected things that make the best memories.
I guess there are 2 types of travel.
One of the planned to a tee with Timing, transit, break, and arrival. And honestly, there's nothing really wrong with it.
For example, if you have been taking 2 weeks off work to roadtrip around Europe and you are not planning a route or stick, chances are you will not cover the ground once you'd expect and you'll still be in France when you're meant to be back at your desk. So, you know, when need be, that plan and stick to it.
I'm going to talk about the type, and the type that my favorite, is a roadtrip was not planned.
Roadtrip where you were on vacation or with a few friends, you have a spare day without doing anything and you decide to go exploring.
The situation I find myself in, not too long ago, with a few friends in Croatia.
Knowing we have a day to spare, I've highlighted in Google maps some of the places I wanted to see. Some are ambitious and to have a really close, because you never know what will happen along the way.
For example, you can take the wrong turn and getting a bit lost ...
The reason I love getting lost in the roadtrip ...
1. You should start watching and not only comply with Sat Nav
Technology has benefited us so much and make life easier in many ways. For example you can be in a country far away from home, go to Google maps and easily navigate yourself around the country.
On the other hand it has made us a bit lazy. No longer do we test our memory and recognizing landmarks and navigational skills using ourselves. We rely on the screen. So, when the screen failed us ...
You must start paying attention to the road signs, do you look like you are heading in the right direction and in doing so, you begin to see the world. Spot the animals, trees, sunset and observe things that are usually much more stimulating than the sat nav screen.
2. Find a random place You do not intend to look at
Between the wrong turnings, rotate and find relevant sign posts, chances are you will find something within that catch your eye. Or you will just end up accidentally in front of something.
On our roadtrip Croatia we typed ' Krka National Park ' to google maps, it really didn't realize how big this National Park. We are looking for the famous waterfall, but with our google map entries, it took us 20 minutes north of where we intended to be.
Pissed off? Nope, see this beautiful place we stumbled across ...
3. you have to stop and get directions
If times get tough and navigation skills you and Your sat nav failed you. You may have to get out of your car and engage in a little human interaction. This may seem like too much effort, but talking to others is one of life's simple pleasures ... and you don't have a choice.
You never know who you'll be splashing from with, you'll stay friends with and who can offer you cool opportunities and things to do.
You have to be in it to win it!
4. more time singing in the car
Because who doesn't love the roadtrip mix tape with all the oldies! Time flies when you're having fun.
5. unique, non touristy photos
Likely someones photo or trip has inspired you to take a roadtrip in the first place? Perhaps I was your inspiration right now. I know it is a reading often Krka waterfalls on various blogs that make me want to go.
So, you dream of going to the places you see in the photo and when you get there, of course you want a similar photo.
